Our Annual Pledge drive to support the Legislative Breakfast

January 26, 2017

An Important message regarding our 15th Annual Legislative Reception

Friends and Colleagues of NAIFA New Hampshire...

I am writing to you now to solicit your help as we plan our 15th Annual Legislative Reception/Breakfast. We are planning the breakfast for mid-April, but it will not occur unless we can raise the funds to pay for the breakfast.

The good news – last year we had approximately 200 legislators attend and we are a highlight event for these legislators. They now know us and respect our opinions.

The bad news – as the event has grown, so have our costs. Last year the cost was approximately $3,000. Each year the cost of the event has been covered only by contributions from members. In 2016, we did not raise sufficient funds to cover the full cost so the excess was covered through the NAIFA New Hampshire budget. This year with declining membership— there is simply no money to spare in the association budget. We must cover 100% of the cost or we will need to cancel the event. That is why I am writing to you so early. If we cannot raise $3,000 by March 1st at the latest, we will not be able to move forward with this critical event for our members and our industry.

The breakfast is more important than ever in my opinion. At the reception we have the opportunity to tell our story. We give our position on important pieces of legislation that impact our industry. In 2017, there will be numerous bills that we want to weigh in on.

We are asking that you contribute at a level that your income supports. We will ask for $25, $50, $100 or $200. Each contributor will be recognized. We also ask that 30-40 members attend the event.

Please make your check payable to “NAIFA-NH” and mail to:

Feel free to call me at 603-669-0032 if you have questions or e-mail to

NOTE: If we do not meet the goal, your contribution will be returned.
